Reggimento Fucilieri von Truchsess

Ducato di Württemberg 1756–1763

Il Reggimento Fucilieri von Truchsess was raised on 15 dicembre 1752 from elements of the Garde zu Fuß. Only one battalion strong initially, the reggimento was increased to due battaglioni of six companies each in 1757, to participate in the Silesian campaign con the other Württemberg regiments.

At the Battle of Leuthen, 5 dicembre 1757, il Reggimento Fucilieri von Truchsess stood on the right flank of the Württemberg Infanterie-Brigade von Roeder.

The reggimento was disbanded in the course of Württemberg troops reductions in 1765. The men were transferred to other regiments, most dell’ufficiali were dismissed o retired.
