Nel 1967, la squadriglia di fucilieri meccanizzati dell’ARVN received additional M113 Armored Cavalleria Assault Vehicles (ACAV) to increase the number of veicoli from tre to cinque per cavalleria troop. This organisation was unique to the squadriglie di assault della cavalleria corazzata dell’ARVN which fought mounted like squadriglie di carri. In fact, cavalleria troopers dell’ARVN preferred to fight from the roof of the M113 ACAV which offered better protection against mine blasts. Giocatori di wargame e dioramisti will find the ARVN Rifle Squadron meccanizzata very interesting, because i veicoli were sprayed in a bicolore pattern of Olive Drab base colour con Sand disruptive stripes. The ARVN cavalleria troopers wore plain olive drab, tiger stripe, duck hunter, e various woodland camouflage pattern uniforms.
