Semicingolato M5A1 of a divisional fanteria motorizzata battalion

Semicingolato M5A1 e fanteria of the Motor Battalion attached to the Armoured Brigade. Fanteria motorizzata travelled in veicoli corazzati semicingolato leggeri which allowed them to accompany the carri armati into battle. Troop e vehicle numbers were normally displayed inside the colourcoded squadron tactical sign. Some veicoli carried only the squadron tactical sign, others displayed the troop/vehicle numbers on the rear of the torretta stowage bins.
