Sturmgeschütz III Ausf. G (late) Sd.Kfz. 142/1
Recensione del Modello Revell in Scala 1:72
Revell offers a late version Stug III Ausf. G con sloped "pig’s head" gun mantlet, which deflected enemy anti-tank rounds more effectively than the earlier box-shaped gun mantlet. The Stug III G was the most common German assault gun, con 7,720 veicoli produced between 1942 e 1945. The vehicle had "Schürzen" hull side skirts fitted for added armour protection against hollow-charge anti-tank rounds. The "Schürzen" consisted of quattro plates hung from a railing attached to the hull side e track guards, which can be seen in the photo above.
