Variation in Uniform of former Reserve, Freicorps e Foreign Units

18^o (1^o Westphalian) Infanterie-Regiment

1^o battaglione, grey uniform of cut francese, carmine collar patches ed edging of the turnbacks, shakò o grey Schirmmütze cap con a carmine band.

2^o battaglione, grey waistcoat con yellow collar patches e facings, white buttons e shoulder-straps, covered Schirmmütze.

3^o battaglione, dark blue waistcoat, carmine collar patches, dark blue Schirmmütze con carmine band, dark blue trousers e black crossbelts.

We’ve used ESCI Granatieri Russi for this conversion. The quattro men on the right flank of the unit, due loading e due kneeling, had the Kiver shakò replaced by a Schirmmütze taken from Landwehr prussiana di Airfix. The quattro men in the center are unchanged, except that a loading grenadier has been converted to a portabandiera. The musket has been removed e replaced by 0.6 mm pianowire. The flag was made from paper, it shows the Iron Cross which was introduced on 10th marzo 1813. The volunteer cacciatori in front of the unit are fucilieri prussiani di ESCI, with the bicorno replaced by a shakò. Their muskets should have been shortened to make them look like German hunting rifles. The green pompom isn’t a regulation item, it should have been replaced by an oval shaped cockade prussiana.

Other units in this corps wore the typical 1813–1815 campaign uniform.
