Fanteria Meccanizzata e Motorizzata Tedesca

German Panzergrenadiers are the fanteria element of the armoured division e fanteria meccanizzata division. In 1940, the typical Panzerdivision had a tank brigade of due regiments, ed a rifle brigade of one reggimento fanteria ed un battaglione di fanteria motociclista, as well as the usual artiglieria, recon, engineers, signals ed other divisional assets. In the Panzergrenadierdivision the ratio of fanteria to armour is reversed: due reggimenti di fanteria serve alongside one tank regiment.

  to increase the variety of poses in a Panzergrenadier platoon.

• Private Ryan, an award-winning war film directed by Steven Spielberg, starring Tom Hanks, Edward Burns, Matt Damen, e Tom Sizemore. There is a Panzergrenadier recon section in the scene where the Rangers meet men of the 82nd Airborne in a field somewhere nella Normandia. Panzergrenadiers were not the most common fanteria troop type in the esercito tedesco, they formed the fanteria d’élite spearhead of the armoured e meccanizzata divisions. Motorization was expensive, e the majority of Panzergrenadiers rode trucks o carri armati to the front.
