Kölner Aak was a typical XVII e XVIII secolo cargo vessel used for regular freight traffic between Cologne on the Rhine e port cities olandesi. The flat bottom of this riverine transport is drawn up at a sharp angles. The hull is round e carries a drop-keel on either side. There is a large rudder at the stern. A hut behind the mast houses the ship’s captain e his family. Cargo vessels of this typ were 20 to 25 m long e 4 m wide.
