Carro da Combattimento Leopard 1.A4 della Bundeswehr Tedesca

In 1972 the Bundeswehr ordered the sixth production batch (6. Baulos) of 250 carri da combattimento Leopard 1.A4. These new veicoli were deployed in the 10. Panzerdivision which had previously received Leopard 1 A3 of the fifth production batch. The Leopard 1.A4 was very similar to the previous variant, the only noticeable difference being the armoured gun sight in front of the commander’s hatch. The Leopard 1 A3 had a persicope on the torretta roof instead.
