Recensione dei Figurini ZVEZDA / Italeri in Scala 1:72

The diorama shows cavalieri e fanteria russa in combat con mongoli. Both figure sets were sculpted by designers of the Russian firm ZVEZDA, but the cavalieri are distributed under the Italeri Historics label. The cavalieri russi offer 19 poses, they are among the most versatile 1:72 scale figure sets on the market. Only Airfix offered a figure set con more poses, namely the fanteria francese della prima guerra mondiale. Variety e compatibility of poses is particularly important for massed formations in wargames e dioramas involving non-uniformed troop types. ZVEZDA’s cavalieri russi are exemplary in this respect.

Valutazione

• Excellent choice of subject, the cavalieri russi are unique in this scale. Giocatori Wargame have a choice of due possible armati nemici in scala 1:72: cavalieri teutonici o mongoli dell’orda d’oro.
• Good detail. Facial features, scaled armour, mail shirts, elmi, belts, straps, pouches, buttons, weapons, shields, e horse furniture are nicely sculpted.
• Excellent poses, these soldatini appear realistic e they are very compatibile con eachother. Even the horse poses are sculpted correctly.

• The horses are only 14.2 hands tall, but their compact bodies e relatively long legs make them appear taller than they are.
• The ratio of fanti to cavalieri a cavallo is incorrect. Anyone wishing to raise DBA Esercito 157 will need 12 to 13 additional soldatini a cavallo. The best remedy would be a separate set of cavalieri russi a cavallo.

• The variety of poses may be increased by swapping heads among the soldatini.

Italeri/Faller anounced during the Nuremberg Toy Fair 2000 that the ZVEZDA figure sets will be distributed under the ZVEZDA brand name henceforth, rather than incorporate them into the Italeri Historics line. Provided that the ZVEZDA range will be available at stores selling Italeri Historics, the lines need not merge to succeed in the market. Given the quality of this set e the unusual selection of figure poses, ZVEZDA can be an important player in the 1:72 scale soldatini hobby.
