Artiglieria Prussiana a Piedi delle Guerre Napoleoniche, 1814–1815

Recensione dei Figurini HaT Industrie in Scala 1:72

Artiglieria Prussiana a Piedi delle Guerre Napoleoniche, 1814–1815, 1:72 Soldatini HaT Industrie 8007

The guns e soldatini shown here are mounted on 38 mm wide e 76 mm deep artiglieria bases of the Volley & Bayonet game system. The HäT artiglieria set is sold con tre different types of barrels which may be used to build the 12-pdr. e 6-pdr. cannon, e the 7-pdr. howitzer shown here. The kit includes quattro guns e their crews, but no avantreni, horse teams o train soldiers. The small ammunition chest normally carried on the affusto d’artiglieria is not included either. Serious modellers e dioramisti may want to scratchbuild these boxes from balsa e paint them in the mid-blue colour of the affusto d’artiglieria. Please refer to our list of Equipaggiamento dell’Artiglieria Napoleonica for additional painting information.

    • 4 assistant cannonieri con trail spike (Nr. 7)
    • 4 assistant cannonieri con water bucket (Nr. 9)

    • 4 sevenpounder howitzer barrels
    • 4 twelvepounder cannon barrels

Valutazione

  • Good choice of subject, the artiglieria prussiana fills a gap in this scale. I cannonieri are wearing the uniform con closed collar which was introduced in 1814.
  • Useful poses. I cannonieri are in full motion even though Nr. 3 is in the process of firing the gun, but the group looks quite good when the soldatini are painted.
  • The wheels are nicely detailed on both sides, e they are relatively easy to paint as a result.
  • These cannonieri are taller e heavier than the fanteria prussiana available from Revell, but both figure sets are still compatible enough to satisfy the wargamer e collector.
  • The corporal seems to be engaged in close combat, instead of taking care of his artiglieria piece.
  • Nr. 1 e Nr. 2 are in full motion, regardless of the fact that Nr. 3 is in the process of firing the gun. Normally, the former due would be standing at attention in this instance.
  • The small ammunition chest normally carried on the gun trail is not included in the kit. The missing part may be scratchbuilt from balsa.
  • When the gun was all'avantreno, the sponge, rammer, trail spikes ed other tools were attached to metal fittings on either side of the affusto d’artiglieria. The necessary hooks are not recreated in miniature. Discerning modellers will want to scratchbuild these oggetti from brass wire. The metal parts which held the affusto in legno together are not modelled either, although they may be painted in, following the instructions sulla copertina della scatola.
  • The twelvepounder cannon barrel e the sevenpounder howitzer barrel are modelled without dolphins. These barrels were heavy e difficult to lift by hand. When barrels needed to be replaced, they were lifted con pulleys attached to the dolphins. Serious modellers will scratchbuild the dolphins from brass wire.
  • There are no avantreni, horse teams e train soldiers in the kit. Anyone interested in building complete artiglieria sections will have to use oggetti di equipaggiamento cast in pewter, scratchbuilt o scrounged from other plastic figure sets.
  • The assistant gunner Nr. 7 is in a strange pose which might be appropriate in close combat con cavalleria nemica, but not in the normal process of serving the gun. This soldier is incompatibile con the other gunners, but he may be suitable for certain conversions.

Utilizzo Storico

  • Artiglieria prussiana a piedi, 1814–1815

Conversioni Possibili

  • Artiglieria prussiana a cavallo, 1814–1815
I cannonieri dell’artiglieria a cavallo were equipped con curved light cavalleria sabres instead of the straight swords carried by these soldatini dell’artiglieria a piedi.
  • The assistant gunner Nr. 9 is better suited as a foraging fante. Simply remove the emblema di granata a tre fiamme from the cartridge pouch ed equip the man con a backpack.

Bibliografia

The soldatini dell’artiglieria prussiana a piedi are unique in this scale e they will be quite popular con giocatori wargame. Collezionisti e dioramisti may be better off using more detailed guns ed equipaggiamento cast in pewter.
