Recensione dei Figurini HaT Industrie in Scala 1:72

1. (Königin) Dragoni Prussiani 1. (Königin) Dragoni prussiani. Light blue Litewka e shabraque; Crimson collar, shoulderstraps, piping on cuffs ed edging on the shabraque.

Contenuto

12 Riders con 4 Poses – 23 mm pari a 166 cm di altezza

12 cavalli con 4 pose – 22 mm equal 15.6 Hands

Part man, part animal, fanteria on horseback

That’s how Frederick the Great described the dragoni, an arm which started out as mounted fanteria e gradually evolved into full-fledged cavalleria. They remained multi-purpose troops even then, backing the light cavalleria skirmishers e patrols, fighting on foot when that was required o charging into battle alongside the cavalleria pesante.

After the Catastrophe of 1806 e during the War of Liberation, soldati prussiani received practical e cheap uniforms, because a large army of new recruits ed eager volunteers had to be clothed con whatever was available. Gone was the splendor of previous decades, but Scharnhorst’s e Gneisenau’s far-reaching military reform did much more for army morale ed ultimate victory over Napoleon than a set of fancy uniforms could have achieved. Commoners were more readily commissioned as officers ed a large number of them joined the army. These citizen soldiers took to their new leadership role con great enthusiasm, e their successful involvement in national defense provided them con increased political power after the war, absolutism was on the way out.

Valutazione

  • Nicely detailed soldatini. Folds in the uniform, collar, cuffs, buttons, belts, armi ed equipaggiamento are easy to paint.
  • The troopers are sculpted in historically accurate campaign uniforms, wearing shakò covers e the practical Litewka in place of the more attractive full-dress Kollett.
  • Useful historic poses. The riders are firmly seated in the saddle e they appear very lifelike.
  • Good casting quality, very little flash.
  • Trombettiere e portabandiere not included.
  • An officer figure wearing the Leibrock, a long-tailed spencer jacket, would have been nice. As an acceptable alternative, one of the troopers may be painted to represent an officer in the Litewka, not altogether uncommon.
  • Unusual gait on due of the horses, the front legs are galloping while the hind legs are walking.

Bibliografia

HäT Industrie’s dragoni prussiani in campaign dress offer a welcome alternative to the typical paradeground soldatini available in scala 1:72. The soldatini are very versatile, they may be converted to cavalleria Landwehr after 1813, simply by replacing the sword con a lance. The light blue Litewka con red, white, black o yellow facings looks very good on these soldatini, e the troopers are easy to paint, because there is so little fancy detail to worry about. Giocatori Wargame will require a good number of these soldatini to raise the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th e 7th dragoni as well as the 15 reggimenti di cavalleria Landwehr which fought at Waterloo.
