Mamelucchi della Guardia Imperiale delle Guerre Napoleoniche, 1805–1815

Recensione dei Figurini HaT Industrie in Scala 1:72

Mamelucchi della Guardia Imperiale delle Guerre Napoleoniche, 1805–1815, 1:72 Soldatini HaT Industrie 8001

Mamelucchi della Guardia imperiale francese. There were never more than 250 mamelucchi nel servizio francese, e they were attached to the Cacciatori a Cavallo della Guardia imperiale.

Exotic Cavalleria

Emperor Napoleon brought the Mamelukes back from his Egyptian adventure e made them a part of his Imperial Guard. Mamelukes fought alongside the Cacciatori a Cavallo della Guardia, they rode the same horses e received shabraques with a compatible design. When their ranks were depleted, the Mamelukes drew replacements from francesi who were eager to serve in this exotically dressed unit. At the Battle of Austerlitz, the Mamelukes counter-attacked e defeated cavalleria russa. A Mameluke by the name of Roustan became the Emperor’s personal servant.

Valutazione

  • The hard soldatini plastici may be cut e carved con a sharp hobby knife.
  • Nicely detailed soldatini. Lace on the turkish vest, belts, plumes on the headdress, stirrups e the famous Mameluke sabres are easy to paint.
  • Striking facial features e giant moustaches give these soldatini a truly martial appearance.
  • Useful historic poses. Horses e riders are shown attacking at a full gallop. Due of the riders are about to deliver a blow con the sabre e they are correctly positioned on the horse. The other due are in attractive reserve poses, well suited for the supporting rank of a cavalleria formation.
  • Good casting quality, very little flash.
  • Useful painting guide on the box. Mamelukes were not strictly uniformed e the box cover offers alternative colour combinations.
  • The plastic does not bond con liquid adhesives which are normally used on hard soldatini plastici e vehicle kits. We used superglue to fix the riders in the saddle.
  • Unusual gait on one of the horses, the front legs are galloping while the hind legs are walking.

Utilizzo Storico

  • Mamelucchi francesei, 1805–1815

Conversioni Possibili

  • Lithuanian Tatars (lancieri) della Guardia imperiale francese. For the 1812 campaign in Russia, each of the participating cavalleria della Guardia imperiale francese units received a squadron of Tatars, quite possibly in response to the numerous lancieri Cosacchi units serving in the armata russa.

HäT Industrie’s Mamelukes fill an important niche in Napoleonic figure ranges, they are not strictly uniformed e they add a lot of historical flavor when they are displayed alongside Revell’s Cacciatori a Cavallo. No doubt, these soldatini will be popular con giocatori wargame e collezionisti alike, even if their historical number was so small that a box o due may satisfy most people.

Detailed e well researched historical soldatini are more popular than ever, e HaT Industrie has excellent opportunity to establish itself as a manufacturer of specialty oggetti, like the Mamelukes, as well as standard troop types like the upcoming dragoni prussiani. Wargaming is an increasingly popular hobby, e le guerre napoleoniche offer an enormous variety of troop types which have not yet been covered in scala 1:72. Collezionisti e gamers have already been spoiled by many new releases in recent months and, con companies like HaT Industrie joining the effort, there is much more to come.
