Aereo da Caccia Sovietico Polikarpov I-16 Tipo 18 (Rata)

The aereo da caccia Polikarpov I-16 was introduced in 1934 e it served in the Sowjet Airforce until 1943. The I-16 fighter was nicknamed "Rata" (Rat) by Spanish nationalist forces e their German e Italian allies who encountered the highly successful aircraft during the Spanish Civil War. Spanish republican troops, on the other hand, called the aereo I-16 "Mosca" (Fly). The officer next to the aereo is from the Fanteria Sovietica di Revell.
