Sd.Kfz. 250/10 was the platoon leader vehicle of the armoured reconnaissance platoon of the Panzeraufklärungsabteilung. The recce platoon consisted of six fanteria half-squads carried in tre trasporti truppe corazzati Sd.Kfz. 250/1, ed un Sd.Kfz. 250/1 o 250/10 for the platoon leader. Crossfire players may want to mount fanteria elements of the armoured recce platoon on half-squad figure bases similar to those used by the Squad Leader boardgame. The 250/10 shown here has been sprayed in a camouflage pattern of dark yellow, chocolate brown, ed olive green. The crew figure is a 20 mm Raventhorpe Panzergrenadier radio operator. ERTL re-released the ESCI kit of the Sd.Kfz. 250/10 con more detailed polistirolo track sections to replace the old soft plastic tracks.

• The Panzerjäger tank-hunter tactical markings included in the kit should be replaced con more appropriate Panzeraufklärer armoured recce markings.
