Il Combattimento di Haslach-Jungingen
11 Ottobre 1805

On 11 Ottobre 1805, Austrian forces under General Mack left the protection of their fortified positions at Ulm to engage the armata francese near the village of Haslach. Mack divided his forces into due columns, one advancing along the road from Ulm to Lehr, Jungingen, e Haslach, the other along the direct route from Ulm to Haslach. The flanking column under Generals Ferdinand e Schwarzenberg encountered a skillfully executed strongpoint defence at the village of Jungingen, which they could not overcome.
