Carro di Combattimento AMX-30 Francese
From 1956 to 1963 la Francia, Germania, e Italia cooperated in the design of a European carro armato medio. Several prototypes were submitted for revue, but in 1963 Francia quit the design consortium to focus on the development of its own AMX-30 carro da combattimento at their AMX Ateliers de construction d’Issy-les-Moulineaux. The first veicoli were delivered in 1966, e the AMX-30 series con 105 mm main gun was officially put into service in 1967 to replace the obsolete M-47 Patton tank nel servizio francese. Between 1974 e 1984 carri armati AMX-30 were produced nella Spagna under licence. La produzione francese del carro AMX-30 termina nel 1993. The first improved ed up-armoured AMX-30 B2 were delivered in 1982. Many of these veicoli were later fitted con reactive armour e designated AMX-30 BrenUS. Modellini Disponibili

Utilizzo Storico
The AMX-30 carro da combattimento nel servizio francese has been replaced by the AMX-56 Leclerc which entered service in 1990. Most of formerly carri armati AMX-30 francesi have since been sold agli altri paesi, although some veicoli are still being used in maneuvres e for training purposes. In addition to the more than 2,000 carri da combattimento AMX-30 originally produced, more than 1,000 chassis were used for self-propelled guns ed other variants.
