Fanteria britannica wearing the M.1914 pattern leather equipaggiamento issued to battaglioni di Kitchener as a stop-gap, because the more comfortable M.1908 web gear could not be produced quickly enough to supply the many newly raised battaglioni. Up to 1916, units equipped con the M.1914 fanteria set received M.1908 web gear when they deployed to the front. Thereafter, the M.1914 leather equipaggiamento was also worn in the field. Valutazione

• Useful historic poses.
• Heads con the service cap may be used to convert EMHAR Fanteria Britannica soldatini for the 1914-1915 period of the war.
• The crawling rifleman may be converted to a soldatino caduto.
• Compatibile con EMHAR, e Revell.

• Bad choice of subject, the troops portrayed in this set did not serve in Francia, although they may be used to represent battaglioni di Kitchener forming e training nella Gran Bretagna.
• The soldatini are portrayed in full marching order, con pack, which was not normally worn in combat.
• L’equipaggiamento is incomplete: haversack, entrenching tool, bayonet scabbard, e canteen are missing on most soldatini. Some soldatini are wearing the canteen incorrectly on the left hip.
• The trench mortar e mitragliatrice are not detailed enough. The assistant mitragliere does not have any belted ammunition on him.
• The pack of the running rifleman is cast incompletely.

These Airfix soldatini are dressed incorrectly to be useful to the giocatori wargame o dioramisti. Serious modellers may want to convert the soldatini to represent soldiers of the battaglioni di Kitchener wearing the M.1914 fanteria set in conjunction con the elmetto d’acciaio M.1916.
