Cannone Contraerei Tedesco da 37 mm Fliegerabwehrkanone FlaK 36

Cannoni contraerei tedeschi da 37 mm Flak 18/36 had an expensive affusto a quattro route which was soon replaced by a more practical affusto a due route similar to that of the 2 cm FlaK 30. This new version was known as 3.7 cm Flak 36, which in turn was replaced by the 3.7 cm Flak 37 when the improved Flakvisier 40 sights contraerei became available for this weapon. Few of these upgraded guns were produced, e they were eventually replaced by the 3.7 cm Flak 43 which had a better rate of fire than the earlier cannoni contraerei da 37 mm. The Roco model shown here is a 3.7 cm Flak 36 (Sfl) self-propelled cannone contraerei mounted on a Mercedes truck.

The German 3.7 cm FlaK 36 was a reliable ed accurate cannone contraerei which doubled as an anti-tank weapon in emergency situations. There are several scale models of the 3.7 cm FlaK 36, including the many self-propelled versions which appeared in the course of the war.
